[Aset] served as his protector, drove off the enemies, put a stop to the misdeed;
Removed the Enemy by power of her spell—golden-tongued, her speech cannot fail,
Skilled in command, beneficent Aset, who rescued her brother.
She searched for him, would not give in to her weariness, wandered about this land in mourning,
Would not take rest until she had found him.
She made him shade with her feathers, Made breeze by fanning her wings;
Danced the Dance of Last Mooring for her brother, Tempered the weakness of him who was weary of heart;
She received his seed, produced an heir; Brought up the child in solitude
          (the place could not be known);
Introduced him, with his arm grown sturdy, Into the court of Geb.

Olhou profundamente para o quadro suspenso na parede. Está lá há anos, talvez há mais de um sextênio provavelmente. Suspirou e a saudade que sentiu foi como a febre que o queimava. Arde de frio a pele suada, arrepiada, trêmula. O lábio seco meio rachado, vermelho se semi-molhado. Doía-lhe a cabeça, a carne, o peito, o coração. Diabos! – Dir-me-á uma vez mais não?

Ah! minha Musa d'alvura. Vêm e sê o que és tanto a mim!
A luz de todo o início e o fim de todas as coisas.
Destrói-me, destrói-me, destrói-me...
Quero morrer sentindo isto!

Pareceu perfeito. Há um momento que todos merecemos morrer, que todos queremos morrer. Está em nossa essência o renascimento. E o que está na essência dele, somente ela pode proporcionar. Fechou os olhos e deixou que Wojciech Kilar preenchesse todo o seu mundo interior em busca de seus medos e monstros. Sentindo nojo e ânsia de muitas coisas tentou manter o foco na beleza daquilo de mais importante e precioso em sua vida: o Amor.
